Juventus opened the new campaign on a bad note, as they played out 2-2 draw against Udinese Calcio on Sunday afternoon. Juventus made a few changes, as new manager, Maximiliano Allegri kept Cristiano Ronaldo on the bench.
Juventus gave Locatelli his debut, as he partnered Rabiot in the heart of the midfield. Juventus opened the scoring in the third minute, through Paulo Dybala as his shot was too hot for Udinese’s goal keeper to handle. Juventus doubled their lead in the 20th minute, through Cuadrado’s low shot.
A young Juventus fan was spotted with a cardboard as he wrote, “WHO NEEDS RONALDO? The Juventus fan was desperate, as he wanted Cristiano Ronaldo in the starting lineup to face Udinese. Ronaldo was introduced ten minutes into the second half, as he replaced Paulo Dybala.
Udinese put one back in the 53rd minute, through Roberto Pererya, as his shot was too hot for Sczesny to handle. Juventus had a chance to double their lead, but were denied by the resolute defence of Udinese. Udinese grabbed a late equaliser, through Gerrard Deloufeu in the 88th minute of the encounter.
